We could hear everything from the upstairs tenants, including water in the pipes anytime they showered and their TV. In addition, the house is very near to a train crossing and so there were train horns all day. They continued until after 10pm.
The unit was sort of clean, but the floors were not mopped well or at all (our bare feet were dirty from walking around) and there were a couple of dead bugs on the floor; it looked like the furniture wasn’t moved during vacuuming. Check in was easy, the unit and front doors locked with a code provided by the owner. We did have a miscommunication with the owner that was resolved quickly and reasonably, but there were other (minor) issues that were never addressed. Hot water was plentiful and water pressure was nice. The smaller bed and kitchen chairs were NOT comfortable. The fridge doors had their handles removed, so we had to open from the top. Shorter people definitely would have an issue with this. This was my first time doing VRBO and I’m not sure I will do it again, based on this experience. I understand it’s not a hotel, but it was disappointing. |

As clearly stated in the listing, smoking is strictly prohibited in the unit. While we understand that you have a medical marijuana card, it does not permit smoking in our accommodation. To ensure the comfort and well-being of all our guests, we kindly request that smoking be done in designated outdoor areas only.
Regarding the steps leading to the first floor, we apologize if this was not made explicitly clear. In regards to the cleanliness of the floors, we assure you that our cleaning team thoroughly cleans and mops the floors between each guest’s stay. However, it is important to note that despite our best efforts, particles in the air can settle on surfaces between cleanings. We recommend wearing footwear to prevent your feet from getting dirty, especially if you plan on walking barefoot. Lastly, we acknowledge that our property’s proximity to the Metro North may not be suitable for all guests. However, we have included this information in the property description to ensure that guests are aware of this convenient transportation option. Many of our guests find it beneficial for accessing nearby attractions and getting around the city. Once again, we appreciate your feedback and thank you for choosing our property.
